About:
Over the years there has been a lot of debate and different views over what a rat bike is; I’m a traditionalist on this and my point of view will never change.
A rat bike can not be made by throwing paint and other stuff at it or even welding bits on to it, that’s just a mess that shows a distinct lack of taste and understanding, you can not make what must evolve by necessity and circumstance.
A rat bike is born through necessity and nothing else, and once born it then tends to evolve again by necessity. There isn’t a part of it that’s been changed for aesthetic reasons it’s all been done to keep the bike on the road, that’s the important bit, keeping it in use and serving its owner. Paint, chrome and originality don’t matter the only important thing is, it works and it’s safe.
The question I hear most about my bike is “why?” followed by “you can’t do that” and “what a shame, it could be such a lovely bike if only ….”, this is an insult, my bike’s where it belongs on the road being used. Why should I not do anything necessary to keep my bike in use or do the rivet counters think it should be scraped rather then changed and used.
The reason my bike is a rat is simple, either the parts aren’t available or they’re too dammed expensive to buy, I’m not a rich kid with a toy I’m a biker and this is my way of life.
Over the years I have done many things to keep my bikes on the road and as I remember them I’ll post them on the website, perhaps they will be of use to someone perhaps not.

If you try anything that’s described in this website then it’s on your own head, I can’t be held responsible for what you do or what happens if it goes wrong.
